Your child wants a horse.
Do you?
A. Get him/ her a pony- not as far to fall
or
B. Get him/ her a full grown horse- teach the child not to fall

 

If he wants a horse he can start his own business and buy one.

Edit--if it's a good business idea I'll front him the working capital for a percentage.
